Hands holding a representation of a healthy colon to depict how BARLEYMAX dietary fibre consumption has beneficial effects on the gut microbiome.

After the intervention, the BARLEYMAX® group showed a significant increase in stool output and defecation frequency compared with the placebo group. SCFA production was elevated, indicating enhanced gut fermentation; the relative abundance of the beneficial genus Bacteroides increased, while the abundance of Clostridium subcluster XIVa decreased. These findings suggest that a modest daily serving of BARLEYMAX® supports intestinal regulation – improving regularity in people with constipation and promoting favourable changes in gut-microbial activity and fermentation.
