Participants generally tolerated the added fibre well – the BARLEYMAX® supplementation was described as “acceptable.” Some reported minor, transient gastrointestinal effects (e.g. increased gas or bloating) early on, but these symptoms eased over time as their bodies adapted. The study concluded that short-term inclusion of BARLEYMAX® is safe, feasible and may support improved appetite regulation, satiety and digestive comfort in routine diets.
